Anne Nicolas has announced the availability of the second and final release candidate for Mandriva Linux 2009.1: "TheRC2 release of Mandriva Linux 2009.1 is now available. This RC2provides some updates on major desktop components of the distribution,including KDE 4.2.2, GNOME 2.26, X.Org Server 1.6 and Linux kernel2.6.29. This release also provides a nearly complete 2009.1 design. Itwill allow you to transfer all available 'One' hybrid ISOs to a USB keyin a very easy way and install Mandriva Linux on netbooks. Five 'One'ISOs are now available to provide KDE and GNOME desktops in a largenumber of languages. Major update of the X server has been completedand lots of testing is in progress to help improving support for theATI, Intel and openChrome video drivers."
