由于 Ubuntu Natty Unity 界面取消了對 Gnome Applet 的支持，所以之前的很多軟件都無法使用了。比如之前一直在用的netspeed ，可以在頂部面板顯示當前的網(wǎng)絡(luò)速度，現(xiàn)在就無法在 Ubuntu 11.04 中使用。

不過現(xiàn)在，WebUpd8 的作者給出了一個解決方案，通過 indicator-sysmonitor 加上自已編寫的腳本來實現(xiàn)這一功能。

- 方法如下：

1 安裝　indicator-sysmonitor 及 dstat

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexeftimie/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indicator-sysmonitor

2 下載腳本

mkdir -p ~/scripts && cd ~/scripts
wget http://webupd8.googlecode.com/files/sysmon_0.1.tar.gz
tar -xvf sysmon_0.1.tar.gz

3 運行并設(shè)置 indicator-sysmonitor

選擇 "Use this command"，然后在文本框中輸入

$HOME/scripts/sysmon

4 關(guān)閉及重啟 indicator-sysmonitor

killall indicator-sysmonitor

5 如果有需要的話你還可以配置一下腳本，來選擇是否要顯示 CPU 或 內(nèi)存使用狀態(tài)

gedit ~/scripts/sysmon

相應選項如下

#settings:
netspeed=true
ram=true
cpu=false

另外，為了讓它開機自動啟動，你還需要在“啟動應用程序”設(shè)置中添加一下。
