1、Ubuntu 開發(fā)更新

嚴格按照預定計劃開發(fā)Ubuntu 11.10，距離正式版本發(fā)布還有3周時間。如果各位想要組織Ubuntu 11.10的Release Party，點擊此處查看信息了解詳情。Ubuntu 11.10 Beta2也已于9月23日發(fā)布，希望各位盡可能的測試。在Beta2中，有很多值得探索的新東東。

在接下來的幾周中，我們的任務很明顯，就是修復提交較多的bug。想起正式版本發(fā)布，真是激動人心啊。 記住：要毫不猶豫的向我們提交您的bug或者您嘗試修復下bug。如果您的bug補丁沒有出現在正式版中，也會有可能出現在穩(wěn)定版本的更新中。除去開發(fā)活動外，還有很多英雄們一直在努力著：軟件包翻譯、文檔更新、發(fā)布公告寫作、組織UDS等等一系列的工作。

嚴格的總體來說，下周，我們將會進行“正式版凍結”（Final Freeze），我們也會停止翻譯不在語言包里的內容。接下來一周，我們會拿出Ubuntu 11.10的RC版本，打包最終的語言包。如果一切順利的話，10月13日發(fā)布Ubuntu 11.10正式版本。

上周的報告中提到過，這里再說一遍：Colin Watson 12日發(fā)送給我們一個幫助請求，就是不能從目前控制的源構建軟件包列表。我們已經把不能構建軟件包列表的軟件包從661個降到了165個。再次感謝你們的努力。一些簡單的問題已解決，如果您敢于挑戰(zhàn)艱難的工作，可以考慮幫助弄下那些棘手的家伙。

Ubuntu Release Party

我們一直都在尋找組織Ubuntu Release Party的兄弟。Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10 將在10月13日發(fā)布，大家為啥子不組織一個聚會呢？

非洲: Capetown (South Africa)

澳洲: Brisbane (Australia), Sydney (Australia)

歐洲: Hradec Králové (Czech Republic), Dublin (Ireland), Podgorica (Montenegro), Belgrade (Serbia), Lloret de Mar (Spain), Blackpool (UK), London (UK), Leeds (UK)

北美洲: Kitchener (Canada), Toronto (Canada), Mexico (Mexico), SeaTac (USA), Lakeland (USA), Melbourne/Viera (USA). (Also there’s the Panama team still looking for a venue.)

Triage Debian RC bugs we’re still lacking in Ubuntu.

Also is the Ubuntu Mozilla team looking for help, so if you’re excited about Mozilla and what’s happening there, join IRC, talk to the guys on ubuntu-mozillateam on irc.freenode.net.

And then there’s Security bugs you can take a look at, the team is a friendly bunch and they’re incredibly helpful in getting your patch reviewed.

Also is the Server team interested in your help: merges from Debian is one possibility, fixing important bugs another.
